The website you have just entered is designed to bring glory to God by offering information about:

  • The Bible: This book is the only revelation from God on earth. It addresses everything that anyone needs to know and do in order to get from here to heaven (2 Peter 1:1-11).
  • The church of Christ at Duluth, Georgia: This is a congregation of people who are members of the one church that Jesus purchased with His blood and established in Jerusalem (Acts 20:28; Matthew 16:13-20; Acts 2).
  • The home: This is an essential part of God’s arrangement for men, women, and children in order to learn and grow in wisdom physically, spiritually, and in interaction with other people in daily life (Luke 2:52; Ephesians 5-6).
  • Other good works: This means that our website contains information about a wide variety of Bible subjects as well as links to other sites where you can obtain help and learn about evangelism, Christian evidences, and every good work.

Our intent is to please Him while offering a variety of studies and methods of learning that will encourage you to stay here awhile, come back to visit, and to understand the wonderful ways of God.

History of the church of Christ
About Us - About Us
The Lord’s church (or the church of Christ) is the church that has as its foundation and chief cornerstone, Christ Jesus.  It was established in Jerusalem on the first Pentecost following the death of Jesus (Acts 2). This church is the kingdom that was prophesied by Daniel (Dan 2:44), and the deliverance prophesied by Joel (Joel 2:32).

Since the establishment of the church, men have been actively causing divisions by departing from the pattern established by the apostles, who were given authority from Christ (Matt 16:19).  One early departure was in the form of church government and hierarchy which became the Catholic Church. Another departure from the New Testament pattern was the introduction of mechanical instruments of music in the worship assembly. Throughout the years, departure after departure led to the many denominations that can be found in the world today.
